Urban Foraging: Redefining Survival in Our Emerging Contexts
Exhibition — St Margaret’s House, London, April 2024
Co-curator / Co-founder of Hoxton Collective
Co-curated and organised Urban Foraging, the inaugural exhibition by Hoxton Collective, exploring foraging as a behaviour extending beyond its primal connotations to include emotional, intellectual, and urban forms of sustenance. The project invited twelve participants from diverse backgrounds to undertake self-led “foraging trips” across London, guided by a bespoke instruction sheet redefining concepts of “the wild,” “sustenance,” and “efficiency.”
The exhibition brought together multimedia works, found artefacts, sound pieces, and reflective texts derived from each participant’s journey, mapping how individuals navigate and reclaim their urban environments as spaces of nourishment, adaptation, and survival. Public events included talks, curator-led tours, and mini-foraging exercises.

Chislehurst Cabinet: Archives of Empire and Exile
Workshop, display, and publication — Camden Place, Chislehurst, October 2024
Co-curator / Researcher / Co-author
Co-curated and participated in a three-day workshop at Camden Place, working with the newly donated archive of Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie housed in the historic property where the Emperor lived and died in exile. The workshop brought together practices of cataloguing, conservation, and interpretation to critically engage with imperial narratives and the ethics of working with contested archives.
Guided by historian Ian Sygrave, curator Dr. Nayia Yiakoumaki, artist Marysia Lewandowska, and archivist Gabriella Bush, the group developed methods of reading the archive through feminist and decolonial lenses. The project culminated in a collaboratively curated cabinet display and the publication Politics, Loyalty, Dissemination—a booklet interpreting artefacts from the Second Empire through the themes of power, representation, and collectable allegiance.

Create London: Delaine Le Bas - Stranger in Silver Walking on Air
Residency, exhibition, and publication — The White House, Dagenham, 2024–2025
Curatorial Placement / Co - Writer / Researcher
As part of Create London’s artist residency and exhibition programme, co-supported the production of Stranger in Silver Walking on Air, a new commission by British-Romani artist Delaine Le Bas, presented at The White House in Dagenham. The project explored themes of displacement, belonging, and visibility within the context of the Roma and Traveller experience, culminating in the community-focused exhibition Atchin Tan.
My role included curatorial research, artist support, and developing accompanying interpretive materials for audiences and local communities. I contributed to Create London’s public writing series accompanying the exhibition, which expanded on key curatorial and socio-political themes through four essays:
Stopping Place
Communities
The Stranger
Reading (into) the Archive
These texts examine Delaine Le Bas’s practice through ideas of ritual, inheritance, and the politics of visibility, positioning her work within wider conversations on care, migration, and the archival representation of marginalised histories.
Highlights
- Supported the residency and curation of Stranger in Silver Walking on Air at The White House
- Researched the histories of Roma and Traveller presence in East London
- Authored four essays for Create London’s public writing series
- Contributed to the exhibition’s community engagement and interpretive framework
Art at Heart: Integrating Artists and Communities in Library Spaces
Artist residencies and curatorial research — Hackney Libraries, London, 2024–2025
